I work with the Apricot Centre (CIC) Wellbeing Service and as Lead Clinical Psychologist in CAMHS with the North Essex Partnership (NHS) Foundation Trust (NEPFT). As part of my CAMHS work I have direct experience working with Looked After and Adopted Children. My special interests and expertise are around: App building for Mental Health, Anger & Anxiety, Projective Techniques, Developmental Problems, Soiling, Group Work, SEAL, Friendship skills and Self-Help. I am an Honorary Lecturer at the Universities of Hertfordshire and Essex/Tavistock and participate in the Local Specialty Group Lead for research in Child Mental and Physical Health CRLN Essex & Herts.
I have written several books working with a lead story and images leading to activities to help the reader to discover themselves, their emotions and their skills. This projective narrative work is also applied to working in groups with young people and their parents to help develop skills in dealing with feelings, social situations and becoming more themselves. This work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural traditions and Rogerian work.
