I have over 30 years experience as an Art Psychotherapist and have specialised for the past 20 years with children and families in the NHS, children’s homes, Alternative Provision schools, as such I have extensive experience of working with Complex-PTSD, SEND, attachment difficulties. I am trained and experienced in supporting trans, questioning and gender diverse children and adults.

I am proud to work for the Apricot Centre Wellbeing Service offering Art Psychotherapy, Systemic Family Practice and EMDR.

In my role as an Apricot centre Art Psychotherapist, I work for Aurora Eccles Alternative Provision school supporting staff and pupils  https://www.theauroragroup.co.uk/services/schools/eccles-school

My approach with children, teenagers, adults, couples and families is flexible and eclectic. I work to unfold deeper meanings held in what might be perceived as challenging behaviours, beliefs or symptoms - supporting the transformation of patterns that may be stuck or problematic. I’m inspired to work with tactile, sensory materials, making paint bombs and potions with children, helping them to release trauma in a way that words simply cannot. I look to find and help clients expand the moments of natural calmness and spaciousness that we all have in our minds. I am a firm believer of, with permission, working closely with my client’s chosen family and support system, helping them to sustain and deepen further the reciprocal bonds of attachment.
