Our Approach
Working with young people on the edge of potential
There are often conflicts and difficulties at a young person’s edges, that when explored with awareness and creativity, become the seed of their potential.
The Apricot Centre Wellbeing Service works to enhance the wellbeing of children and families through providing specialist and creative therapies, therapeutic mentoring, and nature-based farm wellbeing activities. We work with children and adolescents (up to 25 years old) with complex life circumstances - as is common in adoption, fostering, residential care, special guardianship, care arrangement orders, and children with special educational needs, disabilities (SEND) and those struggling with mainstream education.
We provide therapeutic support and therapeutic mentoring funded and referred to us by local authority adoption support services, children’s services and education teams.
We are deeply aware of an increasing need for therapeutic support for young people at this time. We are unfortunately not able to receive private referrals. However we are working to fund specific projects for the wellbeing of young people and families in the local community.
